Online Registration Guidelines for Workshops
1. Registration
Eligibility: Open only to currently enrolled students of National Tsing Hua University.
The registration process includes:
(1) Online registration,
(2) Random selection, and
(3) Confirmation of attendance.
Only those who confirm attendance will be granted the right to participate in the course. Please look at Point 1 under [About Attendance Confirmation] for details.
Please accurately fill in your full name and student ID during registration. Incomplete or incorrect information will result in disqualification.
Using someone else’s ID or lending your ID to others to register will result in both parties being banned from registering for any courses offered by the Center for 6 months (counting from the date of discovery).
Registrations using outdated student IDs (including those who have graduated, changed identity status, or received a new ID number) will be considered invalid.
Could you provide the correct contact information (phone number and email)? The Center is not responsible for any communication issues caused by incorrect information.
If you do not receive any notification within one working day after registration closes, please get in touch with the Center proactively.
2. About Attendance Confirmation
The result of the course Random selection will be sent via email to both selected and waitlisted students. Please check your inbox regularly.
To secure your spot in the course, you will need to reply to the attendance confirmation email within the specified time (the deadline will be stated in the notification).
You will forfeit your place if you don't complete the attendance confirmation process on time (or fail to provide complete information).
Your spot will then be given to waitlisted students in order, and you will be suspended from applying for Center courses for 2 months.
To ensure fairness, claims such as “I didn’t receive the email” will not be accepted as valid reasons for restoring eligibility.
If you cancel your participation at the last minute without a significant reason, you will be suspended for 2 months, starting when the issue is discovered.
*Note 1: The Center does not provide course-switching services. If you choose to drop a course due to personal reasons (e.g., the course level or content does not meet expectations) and wish to join another, you must re-register from the beginning.
3. About Canceling / Withdrawing
If you are enrolled in a course but wish to withdraw, please inform the Center at least three working days before the course begins and explain your reason, so we can arrange for a waitlisted student to take your place.
Those who cancel at the last minute will be suspended from applying for Center resources for 2 to 6 months (depending on attendance rate, effective from the date discovered).
After the course has started, if it doesn't meet your needs, you may withdraw within two working days after the first class by letting the Center know.
Exceeding the deadline will be considered a last-minute withdrawal and may result in suspension.
To maintain order, each student may only drop a course up to twice per semester.
Do not register for all courses and drop them later one by one—violators will be suspended for 2 months.
4. About Attendance Rate
All workshops are free of charge.
To protect registered students' rights and avoid wasting resources (spots, materials), if you cannot attend due to unavoidable circumstances, please let the Center know beforehand and provide supporting documents.
Please do not skip class without a valid reason.
Attendance must reach 70% or more. Details are as follows:
-
Attendance 51%–69% (including approved absences): 2-month suspension after the course ends.
-
Attendance 50% or below (including approved absences): 3-month suspension.
-
Registered but never attended or only attended once: 6-month suspension per course.
-
Unexcused absences: 2-month suspension depending on attendance, up to 6 months per course.
-
Unexcused absence on the first day (including last-minute withdrawal on that day): 2-month suspension.
Students who attend 80% or more of the course can apply for a Certificate of Completion.
